How you sit and what is under you shapes whether a room feels calm. Stillhet Rom specifies seating heights, cushion density, and floor textiles that suit meditation or quiet rest without locking you into a single posture.

Seating choices

Low benches, floor cushions with firm cores, and armless chairs with upright backs each serve different bodies. We trial heights during the home visit so knees and hips are not strained. Upholstery stays matte and scent-free; we avoid heavily treated foams when clients ask for simpler material stacks.

Floor layers

Oslo timber floors can feel cold in winter. A well-sized rug or layered mats define the quiet zone and soften footfall for neighbours below. We prefer natural fibres with tight weaves that vacuum cleanly. Edges are finished so they do not curl into a trip hazard near doorways.
